DRAMAENJOY
Privacy Policy
DramaEnjoy Privacy Policy
Effective date: [2026-10-10]
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
DramaEnjoy is operated by DramaEnjoy Ltd., with a contact address at HongKong ("DramaEnjoy," "we," "us," or "our"). We are responsible for the personal information we process to operate our services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you use the DramaEnjoy Android or iOS application, visit https://www.dramaenjoy.com, use associated web services, make purchases, or contact us. It also explains permissions and the choices available to you. Features and payment or login methods may vary by platform, country, app version, and availability.
Privacy contact: [email protected]. You may also contact us through Profile > Contact support in the app. Account deletion instructions are available at https://www.dramaenjoy.com/data-deletion.
This policy does not govern the independent services of Google, Apple, Meta, or other third parties when you use their services directly. Their own privacy notices also apply to their processing.
2. Information you provide
Accounts and profiles. We process your internal user ID, nickname, selected avatar or profile image information, account creation information, and email address when supplied. For email and password registration, we store a password hash rather than the password in readable form. Guest access creates an account or identifier associated with the app installation so we can provide continuity and entitlements without requiring social login.
Third-party sign-in. If you choose an enabled social login method, such as Google or Facebook, we receive the provider-specific account ID and authorized profile information, which may include a display name, profile image, and email address where the provider supplies it. Email availability depends on the provider and permissions granted. We process authorization codes or access tokens to verify login and associate the provider identity with your DramaEnjoy account. We do not receive your Google or Facebook password. A disabled login option is not offered for new sign-ins; disabling it does not itself erase an existing linked account record.
Comments and interactions. We process comments, replies, likes, favorites, saved dramas, sharing actions, and reports or feedback you submit. Comments and associated profile information may be visible to other users. A system sharing action sends the drama title and link to the app or recipient you select; their subsequent processing is outside DramaEnjoy's control.
Customer support. We process the text, emoji, images, and other information you deliberately send to support, along with timestamps, ticket information, queue position, assignment, conversation status, and message read status. Uploaded images may contain personal information and file metadata. Please avoid sending passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information.
Rewards and purchases. We process membership plans, subscriptions, order and transaction identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, product IDs, payment status, purchase and expiry dates, currency and amount where provided, and refund or restoration information. We also process coin balances and ledger entries, episode unlocks, check-ins, reward claims, referral codes, invitation relationships, and associated rewards. When a purchase is processed through Google Play or Apple's App Store, the store handles payment details. We receive purchase verification information, not your complete payment-card number or security code.
3. Information collected when you use the service
Viewing activity. We process drama and episode identifiers, playback sessions, viewing position and progress, timestamps, starts and completion events, and access or unlock status. This supports resuming playback, verifying access, and measuring views, distinct viewers, completion rates, and daily, weekly, and monthly activity. Activity records can be associated with your user or guest account; aggregate reports do not mean the underlying records are anonymous.
Search and discovery. Search terms are sent to our service to retrieve results and may appear in request logs. Recent-search history is stored locally for the search-history feature. We process favorites, reservations for upcoming dramas, and relevant interactions to operate discovery and reminder features.
Device, connection, and technical information. We and the providers supporting the service process information such as an app-generated installation/device identifier, operating system and platform, app version, package or bundle identifier, language settings, IP address, request timestamps, session information, and technical error or playback diagnostics. An IP address may reveal a general geographic area; this is different from requesting GPS location permission. We use connection and recent-activity information to show online status in support and operate live conversations.
Push information. We process push registration tokens, device or installation identifiers, notification permission or registration status, platform, and associated account information to route notifications. Notification and in-app inbox records can include message content, delivery status, and read status.
Attribution information. When configured, the Airbridge SDK processes installation and app-open/session information, campaign or install-referrer information, device and network information, available device or advertising identifiers, and events used to measure acquisition and conversions. Our subscription event integration sends a transaction/event identifier, product identifier, subscription period, membership plan, and store platform after verification. This event integration does not deliberately attach support messages or payment-card details.
4. Why we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and authenticate accounts, support guest access, maintain sessions, and protect account access.
- Deliver videos, authorize playback, preload content, resume viewing, and troubleshoot playback problems.
- Provide search, saved lists, comments, likes, sharing, reservations, and other requested features.
- Verify purchases, deliver membership benefits or coins, restore eligible purchases, and reconcile transaction changes.
- Operate check-ins, invitations, promotional rewards, coin rebates, and fraud or duplicate-claim controls.
- Route support requests, display queue and online status, and help support staff resolve questions.
- Deliver service messages, in-app messages, and eligible reminders or promotional notifications.
- Measure activity, drama performance, installation attribution, and subscription conversion, and improve the service.
- Detect abuse, secure the service, enforce applicable terms, handle disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
To help resolve a support request, authorized support staff can view relevant account context, including recent recharge or purchase records, viewing history, and coin or rebate transactions. Support messages are available to the staff handling the conversation; they are not represented as end-to-end encrypted communications accessible only to you.
5. App permissions and device capabilities
Internet and network state. The app and supporting SDKs use network access to load dramas, communicate with APIs, authenticate accounts, process purchases, exchange support messages, and deliver notifications. Network-state information helps services manage connections.
Notifications. Android may request notification permission, and iOS asks for notification authorization. You can decline or change this permission in system settings. Disabling push notifications does not delete your account or necessarily remove messages from the in-app inbox.
Selected images and files. Support image attachment uses a system file picker. We receive the file you choose to upload. This flow does not require unrestricted scanning of your photo library or access to all files. If your operating system displays a picker or access prompt, you control the selection.
Playback brightness, volume, orientation, and keeping the device awake. The player adjusts its window brightness and media volume, supports screen rotation, and may keep the screen or device awake during relevant activity. Android's audio-settings capability is used for playback controls; it is not microphone-recording permission. Supporting services may use a wake lock to finish background delivery work.
In-app billing. Android billing capability connects to Google Play for purchases; iOS uses the relevant App Store purchase services when available. This does not give DramaEnjoy general access to your bank account or other apps' purchases.
Advertising identifiers and installation attribution. The Android release includes SDK declarations for advertising ID, install-referrer access, and Android advertising-services capabilities, including attribution, advertising identifiers, topics, and custom audiences. These declarations do not, by themselves, mean every capability is actively used. Our configured attribution use is described in Sections 3 and 7. Identifier availability depends on the operating system and your settings. On iOS, access to IDFA requires the applicable system tracking authorization; other identifiers, such as IDFV or a generated SDK identifier, may be available without IDFA. We do not claim that every user receives an App Tracking Transparency prompt in the current release.
Opening other apps. The app can check for Facebook to route an enabled Facebook login and use the system browser or share sheet when you choose those actions. This is not a feature for collecting a general inventory of your installed apps.
The reviewed release does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call-log, precise-location, or broad photo/storage permissions. If a future feature requires additional access, its purpose and any required permission request will be presented for that feature, and this policy will be updated as appropriate.
6. Notifications and local storage
Notifications may concern new dramas, releases you reserved, support replies, purchase or recharge confirmation, membership expiry, comment replies or likes, check-in reminders, and administrator announcements. Some messages are operational; others promote content or engagement. Available categories depend on configuration. Push content may appear on a locked screen according to your device settings, so use system preview controls if you share your device.
The app stores authentication material, preferences, recent searches, identifiers, and media/image caches on the device. We use platform secure storage for supported authentication secrets and ordinary local storage for preferences and cached content. Browser-based services may use authentication cookies and local storage for sessions and preferences. Video caching is intended to improve playback and does not imply a permanent offline download entitlement.
You can manage available app settings, remove recent-search entries where offered, and use system storage controls. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local information but does not submit an account-deletion request or cancel a subscription.
7. Providers and disclosure of information
We disclose information needed to operate the relevant functions to the following categories of recipients:
- Google and Firebase: Google sign-in, Google Play purchases, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. FCM uses installation identifiers and registration information to route notifications. On iOS, notification delivery also uses Apple's Push Notification service. See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- Apple: App Store purchases and iOS notification delivery when those features are used. See https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
- Meta/Facebook: Verification and routing of Facebook sign-in when that option is enabled and selected. The current integration disables automatic Facebook app-event logging and advertiser-ID collection in its SDK configuration. See https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.
- Airbridge, operated by AB180: Mobile attribution and event measurement as described above. Depending on availability, identifiers may include Android advertising ID or App Set ID, iOS IDFV, permitted IDFA, or SDK-generated identifiers. See https://www.airbridge.io/en/privacy-policy and https://help.airbridge.io/en/guides/identifiers.
- Cloudflare and infrastructure providers: Website/API protection, hosting, media storage and delivery, and request handling. These services necessarily process network information such as IP addresses, requested resources, and technical logs. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
- Authorized support personnel and operational contractors: Information needed to provide support, maintain services, or resolve incidents within their assigned responsibilities.
- Other users and chosen recipients: Information you make public through comments or intentionally share through external services.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or valid legal process, to protect users and the service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business subject to applicable protections and notice requirements.
Attribution data can involve marketing measurement and is not necessarily anonymous. Whether a particular disclosure constitutes a regulated "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising depends on applicable law and the actual provider configuration. Applicable choices and rights are addressed below; this policy does not replace any consent or opt-out mechanism required for such processing.
8. Retention
We retain information according to the purpose for which it was collected, account status, support needs, security risks, dispute periods, and applicable legal requirements. The following operational schedule must be completed by the operator before publication:
- Active account, entitlement, and preference records: while the account is active or needed to provide the associated feature, subject to the deletion process below.
- Viewing-event details and activity records: 12 month.
- Support messages, attachments, and related ticket records: 180 days.
- Technical, security, and delivery logs: 30 days.
- Backup copies:90 days.
- Any separately retained financial or dispute records: 30 days.
Deleting an account removes the active records listed in Section 9. It does not automatically erase separate support records, log files, stored attachment files, backup copies, or information independently retained by an app store or provider. For information retained outside the active account database, we assess deletion requests against its purpose and applicable obligations and explain relevant exceptions. Provider retention is also governed by their terms and settings.
9. Account deletion
You can request deletion through Profile > Settings > Delete account. Sign in to the account you intend to delete and confirm the action. The active-account deletion process removes your profile, saved email, linked social identities, account sessions and registered push-device records, watch history and viewing-statistics records, favorites, likes, comments, episode unlocks, coin ledger, recharge and membership order records associated with that account, reward/check-in records, reservations, and personal inbox records covered by that process. Deletion is not a way to transfer remaining coins or entitlements to another account.
Support conversations and attachments are managed separately and are not automatically erased by the current in-app account-deletion operation. To include those records in your request, or if you cannot access your account, contact [email protected]. Provide your DramaEnjoy UID or associated email if available and describe the records concerned. We may request proportionate information to verify ownership; do not send passwords or login codes.
You can find public instructions at https://www.dramaenjoy.com/data-deletion. Uninstalling DramaEnjoy, removing a Google/Facebook connection, and deleting your DramaEnjoy account are different actions. Deleting DramaEnjoy data does not delete your Google, Facebook, or Apple account.
Account deletion does not cancel an app-store subscription. Manage or cancel recurring subscriptions separately in Google Play or Apple subscription settings. The store may retain transaction records under its own policy.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or opt out of qualifying sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy authority.
Submit requests to [email protected]. We will handle them within applicable legal requirements, verify identity where appropriate, and explain any applicable exceptions. If an authorized representative submits a request, we may need evidence of authority. Rights are not unconditional and may differ by jurisdiction. We do not require you to disclose unnecessary sensitive information to make a request.
You can also control notification permission and previews through device settings, manage social-app connections with the relevant provider, manage purchases through your app store, and use available Android advertising-privacy or iOS tracking settings. Resetting or limiting an advertising identifier does not necessarily stop processing using other identifiers or essential service records. Contact us about measurement-related objections where no dedicated in-app control is offered.
11. International processing and legal grounds
Our hosting, content-delivery, notification, authentication, payment, and attribution providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Primary hosting location(s): Singapore. Provider processing locations may differ. Contact us for information about the arrangements and safeguards applicable to your data.
Where a law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis depends on the processing: providing requested account, playback, purchase, and support services may be necessary to perform our contract; security and service improvement may involve legitimate interests where permitted and appropriately balanced; optional marketing, tracking, or device access may require consent; and some records may be processed to comply with legal obligations. Cross-border safeguards and jurisdiction-specific notices must reflect the actual operating arrangements. Publication of this policy alone is not consent to optional tracking.
12. Children and age eligibility
DramaEnjoy's minimum eligible age is 13, subject to higher requirements in your location. The operator must confirm the intended audience and applicable age requirements before publishing this section. We do not intentionally invite children below the applicable minimum age to provide account information. If you believe such a child has provided personal information, contact [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required. A store content rating does not itself verify a user's age.
13. Security
We use measures such as encrypted network transport, authentication and access controls, password hashing, protected credential storage, and playback authorization to reduce unauthorized access and misuse. Access to operational information is intended for personnel and providers who need it for their responsibilities. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and device and notify support if you suspect unauthorized access.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when features, providers, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show its effective or last-updated date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, that requirement applies independently of posting an updated policy.

- Any separately retained financial or dispute records: 30 days.
Deleting an account removes the active records listed in Section 9. It does not automatically erase separate support records, log files, stored attachment files, backup copies, or information independently retained by an app store or provider. For information retained outside the active account database, we assess deletion requests against its purpose and applicable obligations and explain relevant exceptions. Provider retention is also governed by their terms and settings.
9. Account deletion
You can request deletion through Profile > Settings > Delete account. Sign in to the account you intend to delete and confirm the action.
Cross-border safeguards and jurisdiction-specific notices must reflect the actual operating arrangements. Publication of this policy alone is not consent to optional tracking.
12. Children and age eligibility
